I have over 15 years experience as a psychoanalytic psychotherapist in the NHS, schools, charity sector, and privately, offering consultations, assessments, and brief and long-term psychotherapy to children, adolescents, families and adults with a wide variety of difficulties.
I am a full member of the Association of Child Psychotherapy, the British Psychotherapy Foundation, the Tavistock Society of Psychotherapists (where I was co-chair of the child section 2008-2013), and am registered as a child psychotherapist and adult psychoanalytic psychotherapist with the British Psychoanalytic Council. I studied at the Universities of Manchester (BA(Hons) Psychology – First Class) and Cambridge (MPhil) before training at the Centro Studi Martha Harris in Florence, Italy, the Tavistock & Portman NHS Trust, London, and the British Psychotherapy Foundation. In addition to my Southfields practice, I currently work at the Brent Centre for Young People and the Belmont School Mill Hill.
I offer supervision and consultation to psychotherapists in the UK and abroad (in Malaysia and China) and to counselling, teaching and senior management staff in schools. I have been a visiting lecturer/seminar leader at the Tavistock & Portman NHS Trust, Caspari Foundation/University of Middlesex MA Educational Psychotherapy and at the Adelaide Institute of Psychoanalysis (Australia). I have also published in the International Journal of Psychoanalysis.
I speak fluent Italian and Spanish.
